Summary: The third album from the highly underrated German band "Nena". This album was released internationally, and the final track of the album "99 Luftballons" made Nena the world's most popular band, if only for a short time.
"99 Luftballons" was actually released in 1983 on the bands first album, "Nena". It came to worldwide fame almost a year later.
An unusual album because it's half compilation and half new material, it combines Rock, Pop, and Nena's main genre, "Power Pop", which is pop and rock melded together.
The first 'side' of the album consists of English renditions of some of the bands other German hits. While the second half is made up of some of the band's German material.
Unfortunately, after all the worldwide hype ended, Nena was considered a "One-Hit-Wonder", while the band was still having hits in Germanic countries.
