Sludge-metal godhead's Big Business astound both sonically and conceptually. While the band's 2007 album, HERE COME THE WATERWORKS, doesn't break any new ground musically, the fact that such a righteous rock squall continues to be generated by only two dudes is mind-boggling. Of course, the power duo is nothing new to indie rock--everyone from Om to Lightning Bolt to the White Stripes has been rocking with a one-two punch--but none dare tread in such classic metal territory. Think of it this way: it took the mighty Melvins (with whom Big Business have collaborated) at least three guys to sound this huge.
