After a decade signed to the renowned Texas-based label Rap-A-Lot Records, Devin the Dude breaks out--releasing his fifth studio LP, LANDING GEAR on New York indie label Razor & Tie. As ever, the indelible Dirty South lyricist is just doing his thing, working his trademark laidback, high-as-hell flow through a slew of entertaining and accessible verses. Thankfully, the Dude's interests haven't changed much since 2007's WAITING TO INHALE as virtually every track is centered on weed-smoking, boozing, skirt-chasing, or all three. Devin tries his hand at Spanish-language flows as he sloppily pays homage to the female form on "El Grande Nalgas" and Snoop drops by for the funky misogynist anthem "I Don't Chase `Em."
