| Album Description | |
| Heavy metal quintet Ratt released its first album independently in 1983, getting its chops down on such early classics as "You Think You're Tough". After signing with Atlantic, the band released OUT OF THE CELLAR. The album featured Tawny Kitaen on the cover and cemented Ratt's place in metal history. An acoustic intro leads into the pulsing, crunchy riff of "Back For More." This anthem sets the pace for an entire album of fist-raising rockers. "Round And Round" reached #12 on the singles charts, boosted by a memorable video starring Milton Berle, and gave the band pop crossover appeal. CELLAR delivers a serious dosage of Ratt & Roll-pure hard rock from start to finish, blazing with Warren DeMartini's blistering solos. The album sold three million copies and went Top 10, and Ratt led the way for the many L.A. hair-metal bands that followed. |
