Although relatively unknown in the U.S., the Scottish pop/rock ensemble Texas garnered a huge following in the U.K. and elsewhere, essentially making the band's charismatic vocalist, Sharleen Spiteri, the Sheryl Crow of Europe. This well-selected collection draws from the ensemble's 1990s heyday, and includes the country-tinged "I Don't Want a Lover," the R&B-leaning "Say What You Want," and the emotive ballad "Put Your Arms Around Me," giving ample evidence of why Texas has such a considerable following across the Atlantic.
