Marc Anthony's rich, expressive, and nuanced voice is up to the task of recreating Lavoe's charismatic performances. He shines on Lavoe's signature tune "El Cantante," the haunting, Santeria-based "Aguanile," the completely infectious "Che Che Cole," and the soundtrack's bouncy single, "Mi Gente." Jennifer Lopez (Marc Anthony's film co-star and real-life wife) sings the sultry, Nelly Furtado-penned "Toma De Mi."
